YouTube is rolling out a number of new features: details
YouTube has new functionality: blocking accidental clicks, “stable volume”, visual prompts for “Like” and “Subscribe”.
Updates to YouTube mean that from now on, when an author says the words “like” or “subscribe,” the platform will add a visual cue to the corresponding buttons. However, there is a limitation – the animation will be launched no more than three times per video, and no more than once within a 3-minute window.
Other important updates include the ability to lock the screen to prevent accidental video exits, as well as a song search by humming (similar to Google search), which will be launched over the next few weeks on Android devices.
There will also be a new “stable volume” feature on mobile devices designed to “reduce sudden changes,” as well as the ability to tap and hold a video to increase the speed up to 2 times (YouTube tested this earlier this year).
