A $100 million installation is destroyed, Ukrainian drones hit the Nebo-SVU radar

On the night of May 30, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) hit the Russian radar “Sky IED” in the temporarily occupied Crimea with drones of its own design. It controlled a 380-kilometer stretch of the front line and provided protection for enemy targets on the peninsula.

The cost of this radar reaches $100 million.

Special Forces conducted a successful attack that resulted in the enemy losing a $100 million long-range radar detection system called “Sky IED” on the night of May 29-30. The SBU soldiers struck this radar with drones developed by the SBU military counterintelligence specialists.

The source noted that the destroyed radar was located near Armyansk and controlled a 380-kilometer section of the front, ensuring the protection of enemy targets in Crimea.

According to the source, after the SBU drone attack, space reconnaissance assets detected the radar radiation turned off and was no longer detected. Thus, thanks to a successful operation, Russian air defense was “blinded” in a large section of the front.
