Culinary art in your home: Yevhen Klopotenko launches a chef call service

Ukrainian restaurateur Yevhen Klopotenko has launched a new service called MAKITRA, which allows users to call a professional chef right to their home. It aims not only to free up time for customers to do really important things, but also to create new career opportunities for Ukrainian chefs.

MAKITRA offers a fairly wide range of services. For example, a professional chef with many years of professional experience in a restaurant can be invited to prepare meals for a family every day (the chef prepares dishes for 4-5 days in one visit), as well as to serve family dinners. The platform’s menu, developed by Klopotenko, includes more than 200 dishes.

“I carefully selected the chefs who will make you delicious. And I have developed a menu that combines Ukrainian traditions with modern gastronomy trends (including a balanced diet),” the restaurateur said.

You can order the service on the MAKITRA website.

The platform’s team takes into account all wishes regarding favorite foods and dietary habits.

Chef:

  • purchases fresh food from large chain stores a few hours before the visit;
  • prepares all the dishes in the customer’s kitchen, provides them with special packaging (containers) and instructions on how to heat and serve the dishes;
  • keeps the kitchen clean;
  • keeps your order confidential.

This was reported in the press service of Yevhen Klopotenko.

It is worth noting that the MAKITRA service also has an important social component: it creates new career opportunities for Ukrainian culinary professionals.

“I know firsthand how challenging and exhausting working in a restaurant kitchen can be. It’s a 12-hour work shift, a fast pace, consistently high expectations among a large number of visitors, and working with a fixed menu. And I want to change this, to enable personal chefs of the MAKITRA platform to realize their full professional and creative potential in the customer’s kitchen. I want to make the profession of a chef popular and prestigious among young people,” the press service quoted Klopotenko as saying.

Currently, MAKITRA is accepting orders from customers in Kyiv and Kyiv region in a test mode. The bank plans to expand its geography and services, including corporate clients.
