“Dune: Part Two” – the second Ukrainian trailer for the sequel to Denis Villeneuve’s fantastic epic

Warner Bros. has released the second big (three-minute) trailer for Denis Villeneuve’s sequel to Dune (here’s the first), the acclaimed adaptation of Frank Herbert’s sci-fi saga, which is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated films of this year. Almost simultaneously, Warner Bros. Pictures Ukraine has released a dubbed Ukrainian version.

The second part will take place immediately after the events of the previous movie (teaming up with Chani and the Fremen (a tribe of desert people in the Dune universe) to take revenge on the conspirators who destroyed his family) and adapts the rest of the first book in the Frank Herbert science fiction series. From the very beginning, the director planned to divide the plot of the novel into two films and previously confirmed that there would be no time jump between the two parts of Dune, the story of Paul Atrid would continue from the point where the first part ended.

The new trailer gives a closer look at the new main characters and gives a better idea of the further development of the story. It features many spectacular and effectively staged action scenes of a collision, including those with fantastic high-tech equipment, as well as extraordinary landscapes in the setting of the fantastic Arrakis. Among other things, the trailer shows Christopher Walken as the Emperor of the Universe for the first time, a fragment of the fight between Austin Butler and Timothée Chalamet, new footage of Florence Pugh as Princess Irulan, and much more.

The film stars Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Josh Brolin, Florence Pugh, Lea Seydoux, Dave Batista, Austin Butler, Stellan Skashgård, Charlotte Rampling, Javier Bardem and others.

The filming of the sequel to The Dunes was completed in December 2022, and lasted almost 5 months at several locations in Budapest, Abu Dhabi, Jordan, and Italy. The sequel was made by the same team that worked on the first film, including director Denis Villeneuve, cinematographer Greg Fraser and composer Hans Zimmer (Interstellar, Inception). By the way, the second part was entirely created in IMAX format (the first Dune was only 40% in IMAX).

Dune: Part Two” will be released on November 2, 2023 – as always, one day before the world premiere.
