McDonald’s employee shows how the popular food is prepared (video)
Social media users were surprised that some of the dishes in the famous fast food chain were not made the way they had expected.
A girl who works at a McDonald’s restaurant in the United States said that eggs, pancakes, and burrito mixes are “sold ready-made.” The corresponding video was posted by the user blexican_shay83 on TikTok.
The American woman showed her subscribers packages with ready-made omelette patties, pancakes, and a burrito mix consisting of eggs, sausage, and vegetables. The girl noted that all these products are simply heated in the restaurant’s kitchen.
Many social media users said that this information was not a revelation to them.
“I’m just curious… before you started working there, did you really think they were making eggs and pancakes from scratch again?” one commenter said.
“Oh my God, you mean to tell me that fast food is not prepared by a gourmet chef with fresh ingredients?” wrote another user.
At the same time, some commentators noted that McDonald’s used to prepare food differently. According to former employees of the restaurant, they had to get up early to have time to prepare the dishes.
“In the 90s, we did all this at 5 am. The cookies were the first to appear in a ready-made form,” wrote a former employee of the restaurant.
“Heck, when I worked there (20 years ago), they cooked and laid real eggs. And round eggs. So sad,” added another user.
Several users also expressed their negative attitude towards fast food. One of them said it was time for people to stop going to restaurants.
