The action was integrated with the Ukrzaliznytsia application to combat ticket resellers
To combat ticket resellers, the Ukrzaliznytsia app has been integrated with Diia: from now on, tickets for the Kyiv – Warsaw train can only be purchased through Diia.Signature
This was announced by Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov.
“UZ continues its systematic fight against ticket overbuying so that Ukrainians do not overpay and do not look for alternative travel options. Now you can buy a ticket for the most popular train Kyiv – Warsaw in the Ukrzaliznytsia app only with Diia.Signature,” the statement said.
Fedorov explained how account verification through Diia will help fight resellers: if many tickets are bought from one account and then returned, it will be blocked after verification. In the future, the user will no longer be able to buy tickets online, even if they uninstall and then reinstall the application or try to pass verification through another device.
In addition, thanks to Diia.Signature, it is now possible to return international tickets online.
“Also, recently, to return international tickets, you had to go to the train station, stand in line, write an application, and wait up to six months for a refund. Thanks to Diia.Signature, this is a thing of the past. You can do everything in the UZ app in a few seconds,” said Fedorov.
In October, Ukrzaliznytsia, in cooperation with its partners, launched a number of new routes to three European countries: Poland, Czech Republic and Germany.
