The British Mastiff APC is already in the steppes of Ukraine
In the south of Ukraine, intensive training of marine units with the use of British armored vehicles continues.
During exercises in the south of Ukraine, servicemen are mastering new models of equipment transferred to us by partner countries.
As the commander of one of the units told the ArmyInform correspondent, his subordinates are currently mastering the tactics of action and the peculiarities of the use of British Mastiff armored vehicles. ‘Many aspects need to be studied in order to apply this technique properly,’ explains the officer.
Impressions from working on the new equipment were shared by the commander of the department, who together with his subordinates worked out the elements of disembarking the landing before the assault and landing in an armored vehicle during the battle.
“The car is very good, works great, it is maneuverable, fast and reliable. Compared to the old, Soviet models, one can feel how much more comfortable the Mastiff is, actually made for people,” – the junior commander shared his impressions.
He also noted the level of protection of the armored personnel carrier. He says that during the military operation in Afghanistan, there were cases when these cars were blown up by mines, without any of the crew members being killed.
During the training, the Marines master not only British armored vehicles, but also other types of weapons and military equipment that come to us from abroad.
