The sequel to Villeneuve’s Dune was postponed to March 15, 2024, due to protests by actors and screenwriters
Due to the actors’ strike in the United States, Denis Villeneuve’s sequel to Dune: Part Two” from Legendary Entertainment and Warner Bros. is postponed to a later date. It was originally scheduled for release on November 3, 2023. But now a new premiere date has been announced – March 15, 2024.
At the same time, the strike did not affect the release dates of other Warner Bros. films that were scheduled for release on the eve of the New Year holidays.
- “Wonka” ─ December 15;
- “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom on December 20;
- “The Color Purple” on December 25.
However, some other films have shifted in the screening schedule. After the postponement, Dune: Part Two” takes the date previously set for Godzilla vs. Kong 2, which, in turn, is postponed to April 12. Previously, the animated film The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim, which has now been postponed to December 13, 2024.
