Ukrainian Armed Forces receive two trophy tanks of the Russian Federation model of 2022, which are “not visible through thermal imaging”
Two trophy T-90M tanks of the 2022 model were registered with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The very fact that such vehicles have been registered means that the Ukrainian Armed Forces can either already use these tanks in battles against Russian tanks, or these tanks can be repaired and put into service with our army.
In addition, the T-62M and T-62MV of the 2022 model were also delivered to the balance sheet of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, ArmyInform portal writes with reference to the Logistics Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The original publication, unfortunately, does not contain photos of the above-mentioned tanks. However, there are reports that the 2022 model Rashid T-90Ms are supposedly not visible on thermal imagers, so these vehicles are among the best in the world in their class.
Defense Express adds that this story is probably still about tanks that became trophies of our troops in battles in 2023. At first glance, the period before these tanks are delivered to the Ukrainian Armed Forces may look quite long. But for the sake of clarity and comparison, it is worth recalling the following episode: in December 2023, the Ukrainian Armed Forces received the restored trophies that Russia had abandoned in the Kherson region in 2012.
In turn, how valuable even four trophy tanks can be for our defenders today can be shown by the following example: in August 2023, it became known that the Armed Forces currently have only 837 units of trophy vehicles, although a total of 2,400 units were captured.
