February launch, Xiaomi plans to launch SU7 electric car on the market

According to Chinese media, Xiaomi is preparing to launch mass production of the SU7 electric car.

What is known

If everything goes according to plan, the first production versions of the car will be launched in mid- or late February. In the first stages, the company plans to produce about 2000 cars. Then the production capacity will be gradually increased. By July, Xiaomi is going to increase this figure to 10,000 cars. The company will then keep the bar at this level. As for the first deliveries of SU7, they may start in the spring.

Xiaomi showed its electric car at the end of 2023. The car will be able to travel up to 800 km on a single charge. In addition, the new product will support fast charging (up to 220 km in 5 minutes and up to 510 km in 15 minutes). The SU7 will come with several driving modes, a Brembo braking system, and various safety assistants. The car will be able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.78 seconds and to 200 km/h in 10.67 seconds. In China, the car will cost from 250,000 yuan. This is about €32,800 or $35,210. It is not yet known whether the new product will appear on the global market.
