How the ALTIUS-600 drone can destroy racists in Ukraine: a spectacular video of the drone’s strike version

The ALTIUS drone for the Armed Forces of Ukraine will be delivered directly from the manufacturer, so it is not yet known how soon we will receive this weapon

One of the US defense aid packages announced at the end of February this year included a number of different drones for Ukraine, including a multi-purpose unmanned aerial vehicle called ALTIUS-600ALTIUS-600 from Area-I.

This is a multi-purpose drone that can perform a number of missions – from anti-UAV to reconnaissance and more, and can also be used as a strike drone. According to The War Zone, we can now see the strike version of this drone in action – a video of the tests was published by Anduril Industries, which is currently developing the ALTIUS series.

The video shows the ALTIUS-600M version being tested – the drone hits a container-shaped target with a spectacular explosion. The drone’s warhead is not disclosed, but in basic versions, the weight of this UAV ranges from 9 to more than 12 kg, and the payload is from 1.3 to 3.1 kg.

Although the video also does not indicate which platform the kamikaze drone was launched from, it shows a number of variants with a ground launcher, a mobile ground platform in the form of an MRZR all-terrain vehicle, and a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter.

In addition to the “explosive” part, the video also demonstrates how these UAVs can operate in the sky as part of a single swarm, and such a swarm can include drones in different configurations, which adds to the range of tasks they can perform on the battlefield – previously, the US Army tested swarms of seven such UAVs, controlled by a single operator. During the tests, these drones hunted down the enemy and destroyed its positions.

It is currently unknown in which version of the ALTIUS drone will be produced for Ukraine, but in any case, it can be used in a really wide range of scenarios, given that it is quite easy to adapt to different launchers.
