The Armed Forces of Ukraine showed the operation of the British ARTHUR radar (video)

The British ARTHUR radar appeared in the Ukrainian army. Its main purpose is artillery reconnaissance and counter-battery combat. The radar was handed over to the 15th separate intelligence brigade. Fighters are already actively using it on the front lines. A message about this was published in the Telegram channel of The Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.

ARTHUR is developed by Ericsson Microwave Systems. Military personnel of the British army call the radar complex MAMBA. It is used to detect field artillery systems. The complex was developed by Swedish engineers to counter brigade and divisional batteries.

The Bandvang 206 tracked all-terrain vehicle, designed by BAE Systems engineers, is used as a chassis for transporting the radar. Enemy howitzers are detected as a complex at a distance of up to 25 kilometers. It can detect a 120-mm mortar at a distance of 40 km. ARTHUR is based on the same technology as the Saab Giraffe radar. The complex is capable of simultaneously targeting up to 100 targets.
