Ukrainian Armed Forces installed special screens on Krab to combat drones (photo)

Ukrainian artillerymen began using improvised anti-drone screens to protect their equipment from UAV strikes.

Photos of the Krab self-propelled gun with protective elements were released by the soldiers of the 26th Artillery Brigade.

The photos show that metal frames with grilles cover the Polish-made self-propelled unit from all sides. They reliably protect it not only from FPV drones with cluster munitions, but also from bombers.

Anti-drone screens are designed to initiate premature detonation of the warheads of kamikaze drones or ammunition dropped from drones. At the same time, there is a possibility that the FPV drone will get stuck in the protective grille without exploding.

As you know, the occupiers are actively using Lancet drones at the front. In this regard, additional protection will clearly not be superfluous. By the way, similar solutions are used by the Ukrainian military to protect M109L self-propelled howitzers and other military equipment.
