Vegvisir Core system will allow the Armed Forces to “see through” armor (video)

Early next year, the Armed Forces will receive an advanced situational awareness system. According to Defense Express, it will be supplied by Vegvezir.

The company’s LinkedIn account states that the Vegvisir Core system will be used in conjunction with Defsecintel to improve the awareness of Ukrainian crews. The exact number of systems to be transferred to the Armed Forces of Ukraine is not specified in the report, as well as the amount of the contract. It is known that Vegvisir Core deliveries will begin in the first quarter of next year.

Vegvisir Core was developed by Estonian and Croatian engineers. The system allows you to bring the situational awareness of crews to a new level. They will literally be able to see through the armor.

The development of Vegvisir Core was first announced last year. The product was officially launched in March this year. The system includes short-range sensors and a driver sensor. Special algorithms create a “mixed reality” for crew members. They will be able to see what is happening around the tank or infantry fighting vehicle on the displays. The system is capable of detecting objects located at a distance of up to 10 km from armored vehicles.
