Military salaries will change from November 1: who will be paid and how much

In November 2023, the Ukrainian military will receive salaries under new, differentiated rules. The amount of payments will differ depending on the nature of military service.

In particular, the amount of payments and the right to additional payments depends on direct participation in hostilities and the performance of combat missions. The recalculation of payments will be based on the adopted amendments, namely, draft law No. 9342 on the normalization of payments to military personnel.

In October, the military received updated payments, and in November, they will also be paid under the new legislation. The payments to the riflemen will be as follows: those who do not perform combat missions will receive 20.58 thousand. UAH; those performing combat missions – 50.58 thousand. UAH; combatants – 120.58 thousand. UAH.

The salary of a platoon commander: 28.22 thousand. UAH – those who do not perform combat missions and do not participate in hostilities; 58.22 thousand. UAH – those who perform combat missions; 128.22 thousand. UAH – combatants on the front line.

In November, according to the decision of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, additional payments of 100 thousand UAH were introduced. UAH will be given to the military who are not in the “hot spots”, in particular: 100 thousand. UAH – received by air defense and missile troops, artillerymen who are engaged in defeating the enemy without the condition of being in combat zones. Such amounts have been paid to the soldiers since September 29, while previously they received 30 thousand UAH. UAH; 50 thousand. UAH – will be paid to the military from the command and staffs that manage units. New payments also began to arrive on September 29, and before that they were paid 30 thousand. UAH; 30 thousand. UAH – will be paid to the military who demine areas outside the combat zone.

As reported, the amount of social assistance will be increased for Ukrainians. The new budget provides for an increase in the subsistence minimum. Social payments are tied to this indicator, so we should expect them to increase as well.
