The Armed Forces of Ukraine showed the Shahed-136 interceptor in operation (video)

Anti-drone systems in the amount of six units have entered service with the Armed Forces. They can be used to intercept the Shahed-136. The day before, a video appeared on Stratcom’s Facebook account, which shows the principle of operation of ‘Shahedi Catcher’.

The anti-UAV system includes jammers, radars and interceptor drones. After detecting enemy drones in the airspace, the system gives a command to intercept the Fortem DroneHunter F700 drone, which works in autonomous mode. Its flight speed is 100 km/h. The drone uses special nets to intercept enemy UAVs.

One anti-drone system is capable of protecting an object within a radius of five kilometers. It functions in offline mode. If desired, the operator can intercept control at any time.

Fortem DroneHunter F700 hunts drones whose mass does not exceed 500 kg. It can intercept them at an altitude of up to 5,500 m. The systems received by the Ukrainian army are in service with the armies of NATO countries. The efficiency of their work is estimated at 85%.
